Meade 10-Year Single Barrel Launch

After five years in business, Jack Rose has sold more than 1.3 million ounces of

whiskey, the equivalent of 50,000+ bottles, many of those being bourbon. The bar is

celebrating its 5 th Anniversary with a “5 Years Finished” party from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring

complimentary whiskey tastings, punches and passed bites of the restaurant’s

greatest culinary hits. Open to the public and free to attend, the bourbon-fueled bash will

treat loyal guests to a complementary bourbon punch, ½-ounce tastes of five different

‘finished’ bourbons which have further matured in casks such as sherry, cognac and

Spanish brandy. Jack Rose will also resurrect rare barrel-finished beers and popular

cocktails from the past, with deals on $5 draft beers and wines by the glass.

The anniversary bash will also serve as the launch party for the bar’s exclusive new

single barrel from Tennessee’s Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery – a cask-strength 10-

year Belle Meade bourbon finished in sherry casks. Jack Rose’s owner Bill Thomas

handpicked this barrel, with a group of bourbon aficionados, during an after-hours

distillery tasting in Nashville earlier this year. One of the distillery’s only cask-strength

releases (and generally, one of the country’s only cask-strength sherried bourbons), this

rare bottling will only be available at Jack Rose and is one of Thomas’ personal new

favorites.
