Summer Monday Mashups- Dram & Green: Eco-Friendly Cocktails

As a whole the bar industry is inherently wasteful and the number one resource wasted is water. On the east coast we don’t deal with drought so water is certainly something we take for granted.  At Dram & Green: Eco-Friendly Cocktails we’ll be showcasing our usual forward thinking style of cocktail while using techniques learned from Tin Roof Drink Community recent recipient of the Sustainable Spirits Award at Tales of the Cocktail. We’ll feature 6 cocktails using local spirits and ingredients, including herbs from Justin home garden to help reduce our carbon footprints. We will cut out water waste that night by pre bottling spirit forward and carbonated cocktails as well as blend cocktails with a precise amount of ice to dilute, chill and aerate without any ice leftover.  We need to start thinking about the future of the planet and start working towards sustainability in the bar industry.
